Couple 'on the run' on the Southern Downs

A MAN and woman are believed to be on the run on the Southern Downs after evading police.

Toowoomba officers on Friday attempted to stop a white 2009 Nissan Navara on Russell St, when it sped away.

Police did not pursue the vehicle and a short time later it was involved in a drive-off at a petrol station at Felton.

The vehicle was last seen displaying false number plates 574DUG and heading towards Warwick.

Police say the vehicle could still be on the Southern Downs and anyone with information should phone Policelink on 131444.
