Country music finalists announced

THE Australian Independent Country Music Awards finalists have been announced with Tania Kernaghan scoring four finalist nominations, Jetty Road three and Amber Lawrence and Victoria Baillie two each.

Many of the finalists have released very successful albums in the past 12 months and have already achieved significant chart success with their radio singles.

One Stop Entertainment Australian Independent Album of the Year: I'm Worth It - Sandra Humphries, Livin' The Dream - Tania Kernaghan, Life At A Million Miles - Jetty Road, Start Brand New - Victoria Baillie.

Australian Independent Heritage Track of the Year: Old Black Quart - Tracy Coster, The Dust Of Kalkadoon - Dean Perrett, Droving Cattle With The Boys- Tania Kernaghan, The First Lady Of Country - Graham Rodger.

Capital News Australian Independent Rising Star Male: Lance Friend - If I Had A Wish, Doug McIntyre - The Man Who Might Have Been, Dan Murphy - Where There's A Road, Dane Sharp - Nashville Tennessee.

Capital News Australian Independent Rising Star Female: Kaylah Anne - Why Me, Lianna Rose - Angels, Kimberley Bowden - Do I, Tori Dark - Crawl.

Australian Independent Male Vocalist of the Year: Sam Hawksley - Sounds Like Summer, Danny Hooper - The Legacy, Luke O'Shea - Pride Of Erin, 8 Ball Aitken - Hands On Top Of The Wheel.

Australian Independent Female Vocalist of the Year: Tania Kernaghan - Second Time Around, Amber Lawrence - The Mile, Rose Carleo - Some Kind Of A Miracle, Harmony James - Fly.

Australian Independent Group/Duo of the Year: Jetty Road - World Keeps Turning, Carter & Carter - Open Road, The Harmonators - If Love Ain't Crazy, Jonah's Road - Long Gone.

Awards will be presented at a concert on Saturday, October 3 at the Mildura Arts Centre with tickets available by phoning 1800 039 043.
