Council supports Shed Men

LOCKYER Valley Regional Council helped facilitate a meeting of the Lockyer Valley Shed Men at the Queensland Transport Museum on Sunday, May 16.

More than 120 men attended the event coming from as far away as Kingaroy and Murgon.

Guest speaker, Neil Findlay, former owner of a large trucking firm, shared some of his life experiences with the men.

LVRC Mayor Cr Steve Jones spoke about the exhibits in the Queensland Transport Museum, with attendees given an opportunity to peruse the range of displays.

Co-ordinator of the Lockyer Valley Shed Men, Neil Natalier, thanked the staff of the Lockyer Valley Cultural Centre for the organisation of seating and displays followed by a delicious meal to complete the evening.

The Lockyer Valley Shed Men look forward to meeting more men at the next shed on August 15.
