UNITED States retailing giant Costco is looking to expand with the company confirming it is looking to establish at least one new store in Queensland.

Toowoomba shoppers have for years been calling for Costco to set up in the Garden City.

Currently, it appears Logan City is the favourite to host the new store.

However, a company spokeswoman confirmed that the company was "scouting several potential sites" in Queensland.
