Commuter chaos as wet weather congestion strikes Bruce Hwy

BREAKING: The Bruce Hwy is at a crawl this afternoon, as wet weather wreaks havoc on Sunshine Coast roads.

Queensland Traffic has delivered an alert for general congestion on the highway's 5km stretch between Roys Rd and Old Caloundra Rd.

Traffic has slowed in the northbound lanes, and drivers have been warned to expect delays.

Northbound traffic is also congested on the highway between Aussie World and the Sunshine Mwy interchange.

The congestion was not caused by a crash.

Earlier this afternoon, emergency crews were called to two separate collisions within half an hour on the Sunshine Coast.
