1. THE Rose City Shoppingworld expansion has the whole town talking as it takes shape in the Warwick CBD.
At a cost of more than $40million the development will see the inclusion of more than a dozen new stores and in excess of 80 new jobs. New stores include Sanity, Coles, Priceline, newsXpress, Bed Bath N' Table and more.
A bakery and fruit shop are also earmarked for the centre and are planned to be positioned new the new Coles store.
Two more stores are expected to open in the food court during the next month.
2. CHURCHES of Christ Care at Regency Park is full steam ahead with the $32million development in Dragon St.
The new facilities will include a 128-bed aged care accommodation, some of which are larger premium bedrooms with second storey easterly views of the Ranges.
A community hub is being planned, which will invite local community groups and on-campus residents to be part of the integrated community lifestyle.
The hub includes a cafe and auditorium and will be surrounded by landscaped gardens with a central courtyard/
Also being constructed is a new resident clubhouse.
Warwick Home and Community Care services will also be based at the facility.
The works are expected to be completed in mid 2018 and a wide range of jobs from carers and nurses to hospitality staff will be available.

3. JOHN Dee has benefited from a $4.97million investment from the Federal Government to build a new regional cold storage facility at their Warwick plant.
This investment will allow 50,000 more cattle to be processed at the plant annually, securing 630 existing jobs as well as creating 143 new full-time jobs at the abattoir, 138 new full-time jobs within the beef supply chain, 80 new jobs during the construction phase and creat additional international export opportunities to the value of $111million across the region.
In a recent letter to residents across Warwick Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said the investment would have significant flow on effects beyond the jobs associated to the project.
Mr Littleproud said the potential of 281 new families coming to the Southern Downs meant there would be a need for more teachers, doctors, mechanics and other professions, which would be of benefit to the entire community.
4. THE Southern Downs Regional Council is working on a planned expansion of chicken farming across the region. New facilities are being proposed at Allora, Elbow Valley and Cunningham.
5. BUNNINGS are getting ready to start work on their new Warwick warehouse at the corner of Canning and Condamine Sts.
The multi-million dollar development is expected to be completed by mid 2018 and is expected to generate 40 new jobs for the Warwick region.
6. ABC Tissue are currently in talks to bring a toilet tissue manufacturing facility to the Warwick area.
As yet there is no ETA on works but initial reports indicate 20 to 30 new jobs may be created.
7. GROVE Juice have been a state-of-the-art food processing fixture in the Axis Industrial Park in Warwick since 2010 and the facility is the company's main base of operation.
Having already expanded since coming to Warwick, Grove Juice has confirmed it's looking to expand again within the business park in the near future.
8. KENILWORTH St at the entrance to Axis Industrial Park has been undergoing a major upgrade in recent months.
The Southern Downs Regional Council received State Government funding to upgrade the street to better cater for B-double access, in an attempt to help stimulate investment in the Axis Park business estate.
9. INVESTMENT came to Warwick in a big way in June this year when one of Australia's most prominent businesspeople, Gina Rinehart, bought out the Maydan cattle feedlot at Bony Mountain.
The country's richest woman also premiered her new Wagyu beef brand, 2GR, at Warwick's John Dee abattoir and plans to have more involvement with the beef industry in the region.
Miss Rinehart said at the time of the sale the acquisition was vital in securing a key part of the supply chain producing and then processing export quality fullblood Wagyu to both our Asian neighbours and local markets.
10. EARTHWORKS has begun at an exciting new development on Bracker Rd.
Years of planning by development company NBB is finally seeing some progress as they plan to construct a small shopping centre on the southern fringe of Warwick.
The centre is earmarked to include a medical centre and about five shops.
A proposed childcare centre also on the site is currently under contract.
The development should be completed in 2018.
11. A PRIME vacant lot at the corner of Albion and Fitzroy Sts has been the scene of activity as well, as developers move to have the block ready for potential investors.
The block has council approval for two premises including a building with drive through access as well as room for several other shops.
12. THE Orchard Grove estate which began with 66 lots in 2015 is earmarked for a further 100 house blocks.
Capital works and block-levelling is under way at the site on Tooth St in Rosenthal Heights.
13. OFF Bracker Road and Homestead Rd, the Sovereign Downs estate began with 55 house lots and has over the past few years expanded to 240.
Five houses are currently being built in the estate with another seven planned to start building shortly.
Such is the interest in the estate all seven planned house have already been sold.
14. A MULTI-MILLION dollar sale of a block of vacant land in Percy St could mean more inner city housing in Warwick.
The block, next to the Stockyard Hotel is reportedly oearmarked for 25 units.
15. WORK has also begun on yet another housing estate, this time in Hawker Rd in Glennie Heights
The Warwick Heights Estate is being billed as a prestige estate with 15 residential blocks of varying sizes.
Southern Downs Realty principal licensee Brent Bowles said that particular part of town would appeal to people who want to build a prestige type of property.
"It's a great family area, more suited for your home owner," he said.
"They definitely will be highly sought after."
16. ANOTHER estate that will have its official opening next week is the Aleva Estate on Yangan Rd.
The estate already has 60 plots titled and ready for sale with future expansion already planned.
The developer Terry Seirlis of UKL said they were already starting to build some houses.
"There is also a commercial opportunity available at the estate and we're investigating building a childcare centre and room for a small shopping centre or convenience store.
"I have no doubt the region is poised to start booming and with all the new businesses that arriving in town and planned existing expansions, there will be people coming to town to fill jobs and they will all need somewhere to live."
17. WITH an expected minimum of 450 jobs to be created in Warwick over the next 12 months, the council is planning for the multiplier effect, whereby extra incomes generated by these new positions flow through local business expanding the need for basic services, housing, medical services and utilities.
18. REALTOR Darryl Evans said there was a renewed confidence in commercial properties and rentals within Warwick.
In the past 12 months over $100million in commercial property sales had buoyed potential investors, making Warwick an appealing location to set up shop.
Local professionals like Mr Evans expect the trend to continue with the confidence and positivity in the current economic climate within the town.
