KEPPEL Coast guards were called to a number of incidents this weekend including a boat collision off Great Keppel Island.

Two vessels, one anchored at the time, collided on Friday night at Fishermans Beach, Great Keppel Island.

Both boats were damaged as a result but only one required a tow back to Rosslyn Bay Harbour.

Also on Friday, a fisherman in a 4.6m boat with three passengers broke down near Square Rocks and required a tow.

Earlier today, a 26' Bayliner with three people on board broke down off North Keppel Island and was returned to the harbour at 2.35pm, just minutes before another rescue was carried out after a boat broke down in Statue Bay.

Tomorrow's forecast predicts it won't be the best day to be out on the water with a 70% chance of rain in the morning and afternoon, including a thunderstorm in the north in the late morning.

Light winds becoming west to southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the morning then tending south to southwesterly in the evening.

Overnight temperatures falling to between 10 and 14 with daytime temperatures reaching between 16 and 23.
