Coast man dies in tragic crash

A 34-YEAR-OLD Mountain Creek man has been confirmed as the motorcycle rider who died after a tragic crash at Mount Mee.

The man was riding on Mount Mee Rd just before 1pm yesterday when he appears to have lost control and crashed down a steep embankment.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said specialist firefighting equipment was used to access the difficult location and retrieve the bike and the rider, who died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the crash.

The man was believed to have been riding with his partner.

Tributes have started to come in for the man via social media.
