A 34-YEAR-OLD Mountain Creek man has been confirmed as the motorcycle rider who died after a tragic crash at Mount Mee.

The man was riding on Mount Mee Rd just before 1pm yesterday when he appears to have lost control and crashed down a steep embankment.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said specialist firefighting equipment was used to access the difficult location and retrieve the bike and the rider, who died at the scene.
