
Coast lifesavers rush to rescue paddler sucked out to sea
UPDATE 9.15AM: A PADDLER rescued by lifesavers has refused treatment from paramedics after a near-drowning incident at a Coast beach.
Lifesavers alerted paramedics to the rescue of the paddler just after 8.25am this morning.
The paddler had been dragged out to sea on their surf ski.
A QAS spokeswoman said the paddler refused treatment or transport to hospital when paramedics arrived at the lifeguard hut to assess the patient.
EARLIER: SURF LIFE savers are rushing to the rescue of someone dragged out to sea at a popular Coast beach.
The alarm was raised just after 8.25am.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed that paramedics were on their way to Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba.
Lifesavers on a jet ski are currently rushing to the aid of a person on a surf ski who has been dragged out to sea.
