Christmas craft shows our talent
The talents of the Lockyer Valley and beyond was showcased at the annual Christmas in the Country Craft Show held in Gatton over the weekend.
Cath Walker has been showing at the craft show for about a decade.
"We do a lot of crafts and woodwork and we sell quilting supplies and cloth dolls," she said.
"We have two sides this display wall here and we work all year to ready for this show. We had a show two months ago at Mt Tamborine and for the past couple of weeks we have had to really go hard to restock for this show."
The Brightview resident said her husband and herself combine their talents to provide their products to the region.
"I paint, so I paint the faces on the cloth dolls and the outlines of the dolls on the patters and the little drawings on some of the furniture," she said.
"There are also patterns here which are my own design."
She said she always enjoyed coming to the show.
"It has always done well and I think it really is the best show of its kind," she said.
"The thing that makes it is the amount of variety; there aren't really any stalls that are the same.
"The organisers do a great job of planning this event and every year they raise the bar that little bit higher."
