Chopper sent to save girls washed off rocks

A RESCUE helicopter has been called in to winch two teenagers who were injured in an incident at North Stradbroke Island.

The Westpac Helicopter and emergency services were called to the island about 12.15pm.

It is understood the two girls were washed off rocks.

Surf Life Saving Queensland has confirmed the teens are being "winched" to safety.

 

The pair are yet to be assessed, but paramedics have confirmed the teens have not sustained significant injuries.
