Child killed in Buaraba traffic crash

A traffic crash at Buaraba has claimed the life of a three-year-old girl and left four others in hospital, one with serious injuries.

A police spokesperson said initial investigations indicated around 7.50pm last night two cars travelling in opposite directions collided on Gatton Esk Rd, near the intersection of Buaraba Creek Rd, south of Esk.

The three-year-old girl from Esk died at the scene.

A 25-year-old female was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious injuries.

A 24-year-old male was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A four-year-old boy was transported to Gatton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 24-year-old male driver of the other vehicle was also taken to Gatton Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection of the road remains closed while the Forensic Crash Unit conducts their examination of the scene.
