Argument with woman leaves man, 45, wounded in hospital

A WOMAN has been charged following an altercation in Cherbourg.

Police were called to an address on Barber Street around 4.45pm on Friday following reports that a man had sustained a laceration to his leg.

It is alleged the man was involved in an argument with a woman and, as a result, the man was slashed on the leg with a knife.

The 45-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was taken into custody a short time later.

Police have charged a 44-year-old woman with one count of wounding and she is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court today.
