LOCKYER Valley Regional Council interim Chief Executive Officer Ian Flint has now officially been appointed as CEO of the Council.

Ian accepted the position and the announcement was made at a meeting on November 24.

Ian started as Interim CEO of LVRC in July this year and since that time has implemented a number of strategies to review the effectiveness of the organisation with ongoing outcomes.

LVRC Mayor Cr Steve Jones said he was happy that Mr Flint had accepted the position.

“Ian's appointment provides the Council with stability and a leader to move the Council forward into 2011 and beyond,” Cr Jones said.

Mr Flint brings with him to the position a proud record spanning more than 34 years' service in local government in Queensland including 17 years as a Chief Executive Officer.

Ian welcomes people making themselves known to him and looks forward to becoming part of the Lockyer Valley community.
