
Celtic festivities in Helidon
THE main street of Helidon will resound to the skirl of the pipes as it hosts the 5th Annual Celtic Festival of Queensland on Sunday, October 30 from 9am to 3pm.
The fun begins at 7.30pm on Saturday at 64 Railway St, with a Caeli (Irish/Scottish dance), music by Hopney Moffett, plus called dances.
Admission is $25 per adult, and $15 for kids under 18. It is licensed and includes light supper.

Sunday's street parade will be led by Toowoomba Caledonian Pipe Band and the Lockyer Valley Celtic Pipe Band, followed by children dressed as Celtic princes and princesses.
There will be plenty of music and dance groups will be performing.
There will also be a haggis hurling competition, caber tossing demonstration and stalls and merchandise.
