CCTV images released of service station robbery

IMAGES of a man who robbed a service station attendant at knifepoint have been released in the hope someone will recognise the suspect.

Toowoomba detectives have not been able to identify the hooded bandit who used a kitchen knife to hold up the United Service Station on West St about 4.05am on December 7.

The attendant handed over a sum of cash before the man fled along West St on foot.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and running shoes.

The attendant was not injured as a result of the robbery.

Darling Downs Crime Group officer Detective Acting Inspector Paul McCusker said it was hoped someone would recognise the man's distinctive hooded jumper.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
