Casuarina and Tweed developments on track

CONSTRUCTION company Hutchinson Builders are on target with works on schedule for several residential and commercial developments areas at Casuarina Beach on the Tweed Coast.

Hydra mulching is currently being laid over the next couple of days which will minimalise dust while they shut down construction over Christmas.

This will come as a relief for existing residents after complaints of dust blowing into houses in the area.

Site manager Scott Vidler said after Christmas the landscape would continue to change and target dates were being met.

"Although the project experienced some delays in February this year caused by the late inclusion of a wall, construction is now back on target for the first stage to be completed on February 8,"Mr Vidler said.

The Second stage of construction is awaiting approval from Tweed Shire Council and is expected to be underway mid 2014.

With several road changes taking place over the past month, the public are urged to be patient.
