Carousel comes to the Lockyer

LOCKYER Regional Performing Arts are continuing their tradition of bringing great musicals to the Valley.

Following on from last year’s very successful production of Oklahoma! Liz Quinn, Kathie Watts and the team are joining with professional and community theatre talent to bring you Carousel just in time for Mother’s Day.

Time Magazine survey found that Carousel was voted the best musical of the 20th Century.

Full of unforgettable songs, Carousel is a genuinely touching story about love and redemption.

Although it is dark at times, it is a truly beautiful musical which will engage cast, crew and most importantly the audience, producing both laughter and tears.

Well known songs include the carefree June is Busting Out all Over and the moving You’ll Never Walk Alone.

The show will run for the next three weekends during May and opens on Saturday, May 8 with a Gala Dinner.

This show is almost sold out, so to secure a ticket contact Sharon on 0417 002 029.

Other dates include May 15 and 16, and May 22 and 23.

As a special Mother’s Day treat, the LRPA are offering free afternoon tea to all mothers at the matinee commencing at 2pm on Sunday, May 9.

Seats will be available at the door, or tickets can be purchased at Laidley News Express or Wyman’s in Gatton.
