Car found in Westbrook floodwaters

STATE Emergency Service workers are scouring the area near Westbrook Creek at Westbrook this morning after a vehicle was found in floodwaters.

The vehicle was in the creek about 300 metres west of Westbrook Road.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service station officer John Burrows said authorities had received reports that someone had been seen in the vehicle.

Swift Water Rescue team personnel could not locate anyone in the car and left the search in the hands of the SES.
