Fire crews called to fire on Coast hinterland road

UPDATE: Emergency crews have arrived at the scene of a fire in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. 

The fire, initially reported to be a car fire, had one Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crew and two rural fire crews rushing to the Glass House Mountains, on the Glass House Woodford Rd near the intersection of Meyricks Rd. 

Firefighters couldn't find any sign of a car fire at the scene, but did spot several logs that had been on fire and were still smouldering. 

Rural firefighters doused the logs before the crews left the scene. 

BREAKING: A vehicle has reportedly burst into flames on a Sunshine Coast hinterland road. 

Firefighters were called to the Glass House Mountains at 6.55am, and the two crews have not yet arrived on scene. 

The fire is on the Glass House Woodford Rd, near Meyricks Rd.

Initial reports indicate nobody is inside the vehicle.
