Campbell Newman will stand for Ashgrove

QUEENSLAND Premier Campbell Newman has been confirmed as the Liberal National Party candidate for Ashgrove at the next state election.

Liberal National Party state president Bruce McIver said Mr Newman had been doing an outstanding job leading the parliamentary team.

"The Premier has the full support of the LNP in guiding his government through the tough but necessary reforms to repair the mess left by Labor," he said.

"He has also shown tremendous commitment to the people of Ashgrove throughout this process.

"Queensland is now seeing the benefits of the Premier's determination to build a strong, four-pillar economy and improve the delivery of frontline services.

"Campbell Newman is passionate about continuing the good work of the LNP Government team with a clear and strong plan to ensure a brighter future for all Queenslanders."
