Camp asks for group helpers

THE Lockyer Valley Day Camp Team is calling for volunteers to assist in the 2010 “Finders Keepers” Program.

Registration Forms are now available at local schools, School Chaplains and the Laidley Uniting Church Complex Office, 45 Patrick Street, Laidley.

Leaders, Co-Leader, helper and apprentice leader are encouraged to register early and be able for training sessions.

Other volunteers are required to assist with the many activities over the five day camp.

Training sessions start on Friday 3rd September at 4.30pm and include a sleepover at the Laidley Uniting Church Complex Hall.

This Day Camp is all about the “Finders Keeper” program designed for children in Years 1 – 7 in Primary School.

It is five days full of excitement and fun, offering a chance for the campers to discover more about nature, themselves and God, and to learn new skills whilst having the security of sleeping at home each night. It is an opportunity to make new friends with other school children from surrounding schools.

The Day Camp is for five days – Monday to Friday, from 8.45am to 3pm [normal school hours].
