By George, brothers now have royal connection

AS brothers, there will be plenty James and Dylan will have to share growing up.

But their commemorative royal medallions won't be one of them.

The identical twin Beerwah boys each received a medallion celebrating the birth of His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge.

James and Dylan were two of the 218 babies to be born in Queensland on July 22, the same day as the prince.

The medallions, each engraved with their names, were issued by the Queensland Government.

They arrived by mail on Wednesday.

"We found out about the medallions when I was still in the hospital," their mother Gabby Townsend said.

"We're really pleased with them and so appreciative of the medallions. We might put them on display in the bookshelf but we might get a special display and put it up in the nursery as a special momentum," she said.

It was believed James and Dylan were one of two sets of twins to be born in Queensland that day.

Health Minister Lawrence Springborg announced the medallions last month to coincide with the christening of His Royal Highness.
