TRAFFIC GRIDLOCK: Major delays after Bruce Hwy crash
UPDATE 10.55AM: Motorists now face delays of up to 40 minutes after two cars, one towing a large trailer, smashed on the Bruce Highway.
Paramedics are treating four people at the scene of the crash, near Coochin Creek at Glass House Mountains.
Traffic has banked 6km from the crash scene in both directions, as emergency crews work to clear the scene.
Northbound drivers can expect delays of 40 minutes, while southbound drivers will be delayed about 26 minutes.
UPDATE 10.30AM: Four people are being treated on scene following a multi-vehicle car crash on the Bruce Highway.
The crash involved two four-wheel drives, one towing a large trailer, near Coochin Creek, Glass House Mountains at 9.30am today.
The trailer has turned on its side. Photographs show the four-wheel-drives side-by-side facing opposite directions.
There are reports of major delays up to 13 minutes on the highway with northbound traffic at a crawl for 4km.
Meanwhile, motorists heading south can expect to wait 21 minutes in 4km of banking traffic.
9.50AM: A two-vehicle crash has blocked the south bound lane of the Bruce Highway near Coochin Creek.
Emergency Services are rushing to the scene after reports of a crash involving two cars, one of them towing a caravan.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said one car had rolled on to its sdie.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman could not confirm whether any of the drivers had injuries as paramedics had not arrived on scene.
It is believed the crash took place one kilometre south of Johnstone Rd.
The crash is expected to cause delays on the highway.
Emergency services received the call about 9.40am.
