Broadway theatre coming to Ipswich

ONE of the most successful Broadway productions is coming to Ipswich.

The Producers has won a record 12 Tony Awards and the Mel Brooks production will show at the Ipswich Civic Centre this month.

There will be three performances on September 11, 12 and 18.

The show focuses on Max Bialystock who is a down on his luck Broadway producer and Leo Bloom, a nerdy young accountant.

The pair concoct a scheme to raise millions of dollars by deliberately staging a show that will flop.

Leo and Max have the plans in place and everything appears to be falling into place until something goes wrong – the show is a gigantic hit.

Star Giveaway

The Star has a double pass to giveaway to its readers for the show this Saturday night.

For your chance to win send an email with your name and contact details to news@gattonstar.com.au with ‘the producers' in the subject line.

The winner will be drawn at 4pm on September 9 and contacted by phone.
