Mary Valley drug accused pleads guilty

AFTER making a jury wait for two days while preliminary trial matters were worked out, a man charged with running a drug operation between Brisbane and the Mary Valley has changed his plea.

On the third day set down for an expected four-six weeks trial, Craig Cant changed his plea from not guilty to guilty.

He faces up to 25 years in jail on charges of trafficking methylamphetamine, supplying methylamphetamine and producing cannabis.

The sentencing date has been set for next Wednesday.
