Brisbane man dies at Byron's Falls Festival

A BRISBANE man has died at the annual Falls Music and Arts Festival in Yelgun, 30km from Byron Bay.

The 26-year-old was found unconscious and not breathing at one of the campsites about 7.30am on Wednesday.

Inspector Darren Steel from Tweed Heads police said paramedics were called, but efforts to revive the man failed.

"A number of witnesses were identified and are being interviewed in relation to the matter, and a brief will be prepared for the coroner," he said.

"At this stage police are unable to speculate to the cause of death."
