Brisbane hotel worker dies in midst of G20

A BRISBANE hotel worker has died inside the secure Pullman Hotel.

South African President Jacob Zuma is currently staying at the hotel ahead of this weekend's G20 World Leaders Summit.

Emergency services were called to the hotel, on the corner of Ann and Roma Streets, on Friday shortly after 5am.

It is understood the man died of natural causes.

Queensland Police Deputy Commissioner Ross Barnett confirmed on Friday there had been a death at the hotel.

"Sadly there has been a death of a male person who was working at the hotel," he said.

"That is a tragedy for his family."

Meanwhile, Queensland Police have also published the details of another person who is prohibited from entering any G20 restricted zones.

Gavin George Begbie is the fifth person police have banned from the G20.
