UPDATE 2.10PM: The 86-year-old man killed in last night's horror Cunningham Hwy smash has been identified as Alan Wickham of Karara.

Mr Wickham was killed when the ute he was travelling in was struck by a b-double at about 5.30pm yesterday.

UPDATE 6.45AM: Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred yesterday afternoon in Cunningham, outside Warwick.

Preliminary information suggests that at 5.30pm, a ute and a truck collided on the Cunningham Hwy near Cuningham Rd.

The driver of the ute, an 86-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 54-year-old man, was transported to the Warwick Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

YESTERDAY 6.30PM: A man has been killed when the ute he was travelling in and a B-double truck collided.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Cunningham Rd and the Cunningham Hwy at about 5.40pm.

The driver of the b-double was transported to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition suffering a shoulder injury.

YESTERDAY 6PM: A Motorist has been killed in a horror smash outside Warwick this evening.

A B Double truck has collided with a Holden utility, killing the driver of the ute.

The crash happened about 6pm at the intersection of Cunningham Hwy and Cunningham Rd, near Thane.

The truck and ute came to rest about 150m from the impact zone.
