UPDATE: Police have found the youths responsible for an assault on two teenagers earlier this morning.

A brawl broke out on Russell St at 11.40am when three young males and one female allegedly hit the teens from behind.

Police found the youths a short time after at McDonald's on Margaret St.

Police are seeking witnesses to the attack.

A witness told The Chronicle the scene was chaotic.

"There was screaming.

"The fight was vicious and spilled on to the road.

"Both groups were swearing at each other and at one point three people attacked one person.

"They were yanking his arms and had scissors in his face."

Store owners were shocked and scared by the brawl and quickly contacted police.

One store owner was too frightened to go outside.

BREAKING: Police are urgently searching for four youths who allegedly assaulted two teenagers this morning.

Violence broke out when two teenagers were attacked as they were walking down Russell St at 11.40am.

Three young males and one female allegedly hit the teens from behind and stole their skateboard.

It started a brawl and the woman allegedly threatened the teenagers with a pair of scissors. 

The youths were last seen headed towards McDonald's on Margaret St.

Police are appealing for information.
