PATRICK O'Sullivan has this morning toured the RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter that helped to save his life.

Students at the Mary MacKillop Catholic School were excited to see RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter land this morning.

The visit celebrated the five-year-old's remarkable recovery and gave his parents and the wider school community a chance to thank RACQ CareFlight for the support provided when he was seriously injured.

Paddy was rushed from Mary MacKillop Catholic School to Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane after falling 10 metres from an amusement ride.

He returned to school part-time in July.

The youngster was accompanied by his parents Emily and Barry O'Sullivan.
