Boy, 15, dies suddenly at Bowen gym

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy who was exercising at a gym in Bowen has died suddenly.

It is believed that he was doing a gym session yesterday afternoon and wasn't feeling well, another gym member noticed he had lost balance and stopped breathing.

A Police Media spokeswoman said someone was performing CPR on the teenager before ambulance officers arrived.

At about 5pm he was taken to Bowen Hospital where he was pronounced deceased by doctors.

There is no more information available at this stage.
