Body found in burnt-out vehicle in Brisbane suburbs

THE discovery of a body in a burnt-out vehicle in Brisbane's eastern suburbs is not being treated as suspicious.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at Minippi Parklands in Tingalpa on Thursday about 1.30am.

The fire was extinguished by Queensland Fire and Rescue Service personnel who subsequently discovered the body inside the vehicle.

The sex and age of the person is still unknown.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the death was not initially being treated as suspicious, but investigations were ongoing.
