Boat explosion on Brisbane River injures three people
POLICE were called to investigate an explosion on a boat in the Brisbane River this afternoon that injured three people.
Around 3:50pm emergency services attended the Brisbane Corso, Yeronga, after reports that an explosion had occurred on a vessel moored in the river.
Three people on board suffered burns to various parts of their body and transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old man were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, while a 14-year-old girl was taken to the Lady Cliento Children's Hospital.
Police have determined the incident as non-suspicious.
