GATTON Shire Hall is brimming with books, as Blue Care’s second book sale of the year kicks off.
Blue Care Auxiliary Volunteer Valerie Kilah said there were so many books donated for this sale, they wouldn’t fit on the truck.
“There’s plenty of variety, and they are cheap,” she said.
“It’s been pretty busy this morning, but I expect to see a couple of hundred people through the doors by Saturday afternoon.”
Gatton local Jesumay Keppel said she comes down to every Blue Care book sale to support Blue Care and for her love of reading.
“It’s always a good deal and you can find some gems,” she said.
All the funds raised will go towards supporting Blue Care’s services in the Lockyer community.
Blue Care has been supporting local people in the Lockyer area with community services since 1970.
You still have until 5pm today to have a browse and Friday from 8am to 5pm.
The sale will finish at 12pm on Saturday.
