Big turnout for Turnout
CLASSIC bush melodies could be heard emanating out onto the streets of Ma Ma Creek on the weekend as the Tenthill Turnout got into full swing.
Crowds piled into the Ma Ma Creek Hall to hear a range of foot tapping country tunes from a variety of talented artists, all in honour of legendary artist Stan Coster.
The 15th annual Stan Coster Tribute concert saw tunes belted out from the likes of John Coleville, Primrose Hendersen, Dusty Fraser, Chris Pritchard and Rod Williams.
Along with the music, Boulia Bates left the audience in awe with a number of touching bush poems.
In between songs, artists remembered the late Stan Coster telling tales of his musical genius and his life.
Daughter of Stan Coster and host of the Tenthill Turnout Tracy Coster said the concert was a big success with one of the best line-ups since its beginning 15 years ago.
"It ended up probably being one of the best shows we've ever put on," she said.
"It was great, I can't believe it's been 15 years since my father passed away but his music hasn't died and his popularity is still growing today."
Tracy said she hoped to grow the event in the future and continue entertaining audiences with the music from her father.
"We're looking to maybe turn it into a two day event in the future but we would need sponsors in the local area for us to move forward with that," she said.
"There's a great amount of heritage in that district."
