Big names take their suspension hits on the chin

AFL: The league's tribunal panel had last night off after all players booked by the Match Review Panel on Monday accepted their punishments yesterday.

Hawthorn star Jarryd Roughead (pictured) will miss the round-10 blockbuster against Port Adelaide, after the Hawks' bye, with the forward accepting his one-match ban for a high hit on Sydney's Ben McGlynn.

Essendon's Paul Chapman will sit out the Bombers' clash with the Swans on Friday night after striking Brisbane's Dayne Zorko, while Lion Matt Maguire was suspended for a week for tripping Bomber Joe Daniher.

Bulldog Liam Jones chose not to argue against his two-match ban for a high bump that left Melbourne's Dean Terlich concussed, while West Coast forward Mark LeCras was rubbed out for a week after making high contact with GWS's Will Hoskin-Elliott.

Fremantle's Paul Duffield received a reprimand for rough conduct against the Power's Chad Wingard.
