Beyonce's rave review for Aussie songwriter Sia Furler

SUPERSTAR Beyonce has given Australian songwriter Sia Furler the best Christmas present she can dream of after lauding her talent.

Furler is behind the song Pretty Hurts, one of the most talked-about tracks from Beyonce's chart-topping album.

Beyonce broke iTunes store records by selling more than 800,000 albums in the first three days of the unexpected release last Friday.

Speaking to iTunes Radio, Beyonce praised Furler for her critique of beauty pageants.

"Sia is such a genius. The second I heard the song, I'm like, `I have to sing this song, I don't care how hard I have to fight for this song, this is my song!'"

Not surprisingly, Furler was over the moon.

"Pretty Hurts? Beyonce? Yep! I wrote it!" she tweeted on Monday.

After learning about Beyonce's acclaim for her song, the Aussie artist tweeted again: "I die."

Furler co-wrote and sang "Titanium" for David Guetta's 2011 album.

She collaborated with Guetta again in 2012 for his Nothing But the Beat 2.0 digital re-release on the song "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)", which was released as the albums lead single.

She also wrote a few songs for Madonna's 2012 album, MDNA, but none of them made it onto the album.

Furler also sings on Flo Rida's song "Wild Ones".

Sia later wrote the lyrics and melody for Diamonds, the first single from Rihanna's seventh studio album.

Ke$ha also collaborated with Sia on the singer's second studio album.

Furler worked on Christina Aguilera's fifth studio album Lotus.

This year, she co-wrote the song "Perfume" for Britney Spears for her eighth studio album, Britney Jean. In the same year, Sia also co-wrote and featured on Eminem track "Beautiful Pain".

Sia is not the only Furler who has made headlines for Australian music.

Her cousin Peter Furler is the founder of Christian supergroup Newsboys, which has sold more than seven million records.

Furler is now a solo artist based in Nashville and Florida.
