Balaclava-clad robber pulls handgun on servo cashier

A WOULD-be robber failed to steal any money from a south-east Queensland service station overnight, despite pulling a gun on the cashier.

At 9.12pm, the man walked into a service station on Logan Rd in Underwood.

He walked to the counter armed with what police say "appeared to be a handgun" and demanded cash.

The cashier was able to retreat to a staff room and lock the doors.

The man fled on foot and was last seen running along Logan Road towards a car wash.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.

No money was taken and no one was physically injured during the incident.
