Baden-Clay's trial to begin in Brisbane today
THE murder trial of accused wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay is due to begin today in the Brisbane Supreme Court.
Before the trial begins, potential jurors in the high-profile trial will be required to answer three questions to determine their suitability.
They will be asked if they, or their immediate family, lived near Brookfield, where Mr Baden-Clay is alleged to have murdered his wife Allison Baden-Clay, 43, in April, 2012.
Jurors also must disclose whether they have ever attended any fundraising event or contributed to any fund set up for Allison's disappearance or death.
Mr Baden-Clay, 43, is accused of murdering the mother of his three children at their Brookfield home, in Brisbane, on April 20 and then dumping her body under a bridge at Kholo Creek, near Ipswich.
A canoeist found her body on a creek bank at Anstead on April 30, 2012 - 10 days after she was reported missing.
Mr Baden-Clay, a former real estate agent, was arrested and charged with his wife's murder in June, 2012.
He has pleaded not guilty.
The trial before Justice John Byrne is expected to last a month and will involve more than 70 witnesses.
