Aussie sailor dies in Middle East

AN AUSTRALIAN sailor has died after being discovered unconscious while on shore leave in the city of Muscat, Oman.

The sailor received medical treatment after being found in a hotel by colleagues, but could not be revived.

The ABC reported the 22-year-old might have died after taking bodybuilding supplements.

An autopsy and toxicology testing of his body have been ordered.

The ADF investigative service is working with Oman authorities.

The sailor's name had not been released yesterday.
