TWO teenage boys who were allegedly assaulted - including one who was believed stood over by a sexual predator - have been transferred to an adult jail with the state's worst pedophiles.

The Courier Mail reports the 17-year-olds were moved to Wolston Correctional Centre which houses hundreds of sex offenders including Daniel Morcombe's killer Brett Peter Cowan and psychopath pedophile Douglas Brian Jackway.

Despite the State Government passing laws to move 17-year-olds out of adult jails, the changes to move them into youth detention do not come into effect until mid-November.

A spokesman for Queensland Corrective Services declined to comment on why the teens were moved into Wolston and would not comment on any allegations around the individuals due to privacy restrictions.
