Artists enjoy carnival

THE Lockyer Valley Artists took time out after their hectic Laidley Spring Festival exhibition to enjoy a bus trip to the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.

Members took the opportunity to grab some inspirational material for their future art works at the Japanese Gardens.

A relaxing morning tea upon arrival at picturesque Picnic Point was enjoyed by all followed by a hearty lunch at the Irish Club Hotel provided the ladies in the group with renewed energy to tackle the delights at the Danish Village and the Chocolate Shoppe at Highfields.

Club member Margaret Beeney celebrated her birthday with a cake and candle amongst friends at the Chocolate Shoppe's beautiful lawn recreational area.
