BLACKBUTT'S Mitch Argent will again pull on the green and gold after locking up a spot on the Aussie Chopperoos team at last weekend's STIHL Timpbersports Australian Championships in Melbourne.

The Australian team will look to claim the title for a fourth successive year at next month's World Championships in Lillehammer, Norway.

Argent finished out of the major placings at last weekend's Albert Park event but earned a wildcard inclusion in the Aussie team compliments of a blistering performance in the standing block category.

Argent set an Australian record time in the discipline of 14.10 seconds.

He also broke his PB in the single block.

Argent's younger brother Jack also competed at last weekend's event in the Rookies Championship.

Jack performed strongly with second placings in the stocksaw and underhand before finishing in a tie for fifth placing alongside fellow Queenslander Carsen Jones.
