AFL helps our sports groups

LOCKYER Valley Football Club is among 16 football clubs to receive over $1000 worth of Sherrin footballs, as part of an initiative designed to raise vital funds and resources for those community football clubs who had facilities damaged by the floods.

Four celebrities at each Round 1 NAB Cup venue were given the opportunity to kick a NAB Supergoal from outside the 50 metre arc, resulting in the donation of $16,000 worth of Sherrin footballs back to community football clubs in need.

Toowoomba NAB Representative, Graeme Marshallsea, said Australians have been deeply affected by the floods which have impacted so many communities across the country.

“Lockyer Valley Football Club is one of many local football clubs affected by the floods and we at NAB are committed to supporting local sporting clubs who play such a vital role in bringing communities together, and are often an integral part of daily life for people,” Graeme said.

The NAB Flood Relief initiative aims to further deliver on NAB's commitment to supporting football at all levels from grassroots to the elite level.
