Adelaide below best confident against Phoenix

ADELAIDE United defender Dylan McGowan is confident his back-field teammates can step up for the clash against an in-form Wellington at Coopers Stadium tonight, despite Tarek Elrich and Nigel Boogaard being out suspended.

"There are players capable in every position and it could be a matter of Ben Warland (from the youth team) coming in or Cameron Watson stepping back, but I have every faith in each of the players in the squad," McGowan (pictured) said.

The Reds' attack was unstoppable in the dying stages against Sydney FC last Friday night, winning 3-0 and scoring all three goals inside the final 25 minutes.

The Phoenix, which is unbeaten in its past five games, will be hoping Roy Krishna will play, after limping off in his team's 1-0 win over Western Sydney on Sunday, given Wellington will be without Nathan Burns for the next two games on Socceroos duty.
