Adam Scott wins Colonial PGA tour

AUSTRALIA'S world number one Adam Scott has won the Colonial PGA Tour event in Fort Worth, Texas.

Scott hit a final-round 66 to share the lead with Dufner on 9-under-par through 72 holes.

Dufner, last year's PGA Championship winner, also carded a 4-under 66 in the last round, including an 18-foot birdie putt on the last.

In a play-off between two of 2013's major champions it was Dufner, the reigning PGA Championship winner, who out-drove 2013 Masters champion Scott on the first hole.

Played on the 18th, both hit the green in similar spots as they did on the final regulation hole, but this time both sent their putts a few inches right and sank awkward shots from a couple of feet past the hole for par.
