Ace claims three records

THE golfing career of Zoe Field continues to blossom with the Lockyer District student now laying claim to three course records in the Darling Downs.

With the Gatton and Dalby women's course records behind her, Zoe went in to the District Championships at the Toowoomba City Golf Club with a bundle of confidence.

Playing close to her best, Zoe broke the Toowoomba course record with rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (even).

Zoe took out the Darling Downs and South West silver division, the club champion of champions and the Linda Brittain Trophy (closed event).

Following the sensational tournament she went Canberra but was disappointed to finish with rounds of 82 and 83.

“The course was pretty hard and the conditions were not any better,” she said.

“I was only seven off the lead and finished in sixth place.”

“I then played for Queensland in the matchplay losing my first game against New South Wales 2-1, before winning my next match against Victoria 6-4.

The following day Zoe played foursomes against New South Wales with another Queensland player and the pair were triumphant, winning 4-2.

“Overall Queensland won two out of three so we did pretty well.”
