ABC radio's technical issues on Coast, Gympie

ABC Local Radio and Triple J stations on the Sunshine Coast and in Gympie have been struck with technical difficulties, with listeners now being treated to other programming.

Listeners tuned to Triple J 89.5FM and ABC Sunshine on 90.3FM are affected, as is the 95.3FM station which takes ABC Sunshine and Cooloola Coasts in Gympie.

It is understood to be an issue arising with the ABC's transmitter in Nambour.

Telstra has confirmed that there were some issues with telephone connections on the Sunshine Coast earlier today, although these have now been restored.

The station's transmissions returned to normal just after 10am.

Listeners can find out more via the station's page on Facebook
