THE LOCKYER LOVELIES supported flood victims and raised money for recovery.

A lovely gesture

RECENTLY a group of the Redhat Society Queens, joined Queen Caz and six of the local chapter of The Lockyer Lovelies.

They had lunch and supported a local business at the Staging Post Cafe in the Lake Apex Cultural Centre in Gatton.

Organiser Caz Dallinger said the event was well received.

“We were all in the floods in this area and just needed to get together for a hug, laugh, to tell our stories and support each other, as we always do,” she said.

Six of the eight Lockyer Lovelies attended along with others from Ipswich, Laidley, Coominya, Toogoolawah and the Lockyer Valley.

Caz is also organising a lunch to be held in Gatton in March.

Several local chapters are collecting money from their members to go to help Grantham.

The money will then be handed over to co-ordinator, Julie Johnson, to be used to purchase vouchers for Grantham.
